Gatsby represents the sneaky side of people in America because he was a bootlegger. He started out his life as a poor man but then he worked his way to top. In the book he admits that he got all of his money by bootlegging. During most of the book, people didn't know how he got his money and didn't know anything about his past so he was a questionable person. Gatsby shows the sneaky and questionable side of people in this time period. He admitted he got all of his money from bootlegging which shows that he was a sneaky man.

Loneliness of Tom Buchanan

Tom Buchanan is a lonely man even though he does have two women in his life. He doesn't love the woman that he had married and is cheating on her with Myrtle Wilson, a middle-aged women from a poor town in New York. Tom may be lonely because he doesn't get to be with the woman he loves and he knows that the woman he is married to doesn't love him either. Tom doesn't have many friends. Maybe that is because he is really wealthy and snobby. All Tom wants is to move out and live with the woman he actually loves and that is what will make him happy but he can't do that because he is married and the woman he loves is married too.

American Dream

America's Dream is that everyone's life will be better for each individual. There is opportunity for everyone depending on their personalities. The dream isn't about having better jobs and having higher technology. The Dream is about giving people the freedom they deserve. It doesn't matter where a person is from or what their background is. As long as they're in America now and they are considered American and they get all the freedom they deserve. It doesn't matter if you're male or female, you will get the freedom of being an American. 

I strongly believe in every part of the American Dream. I like how that America would be more portrayed toward the peoples' freedom instead the advanced technology of America. I believe that every individual that lives in American should be treated equally no matter what you're background is. It doesn't matter if you are an immigrant or you were born an American. If you live in America now, then you should be treated just like everyone else. America has an amazing reputation as far as freedom and fairness which is what I like most about the American dream.
